My doctoral research centres around devising a method for working musically with multiple dreams to create song-poems. This arises from years of dreams singing to me as well as my name, Carmen, which means song-poem. The method is called Sounding the Dreaming (SD) and its main step is the ongoing Dream Dialogue. It immerses the practitioner in an engagement where creative language and voice are more accessible and far-reaching than we are used to thinking. Useful to performers and seekers alike, this fun method reconnects us to the dreaming and its guidance, to soul and to the power of voice. It also habituates a new language that centres around meaning-making.
